It was founded in 1977 by Larry Ellison, Bob Miner, and Ed Oates, with its headquarters located in Redwood City, California.
Oracle is best known for its flagship product, Oracle Database, which is one of the leading relational database management systems (RDBMS) in the industry. The company offers a wide range of other software and hardware products and services, including applications, middleware, cloud infrastructure, and engineered systems.
Oracle provides solutions for various industries, such as finance, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, and government sectors. Its software applications cover areas such as customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), human capital management (HCM), supply chain management (SCM), and more.
In recent years, Oracle has been expanding its focus on cloud computing and offers a comprehensive cloud platform known as Oracle Cloud.
