What You Will Be Doing As Business Development Executive

• Own the acquisition of expert author, technical reviewers, and other subject-matter experts as per targets and requirements shared, acting as the key point of contact to nurture relationships and build a pool of experts.
• Connect with the tech community and other platforms to find potential leads who fits our project requirements and convince them to work with us by pitching project details in the best way.
• Build and manage a pool of potential authors, reviewers who are interested in working with Packt. Periodically engage with the pool to keep the relationship intact for future projects.
• Working alongside Senior Editors and Managers, to discuss project requirements and help resolve any challenges faced on projects after the lead is contracted (such as lead being unresponsive or cancelation).
• Conduct market and customer research in their respective topic areas to understand the project topic in detail.
• Participate in Editorial Board and other meetings where needed.
• Examine complex information and obtain further information to make accurate decisions.
• Provide advice and feedback to support others to make accurate decisions.
• Explain clearly, verbally and in writing, how a decision has been reached.
