Responsibilities for Silicon Engineering Intern
- Design and implement digital or analog integrated circuits (ICs)
- Assist in RTL design, verification and debugging of hardware modules
- Use simulation tools to analyse the performance of your circuit
- Read timing power area (TPA) reports for chip refinement
- Assistance in physical design tasks such as placing and routing (depends on role, level of experience)
- Work with senior engineers on chip architecture and block level design
- Write & execute test cases to verify hardware
- Remove design bugs using EDA tools and simulation logs
- Design specifications, test results and technical findings
- Involvement in design reviews and engineering discussions
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with performance modeling tools, C++, Python or silicon design tools in front end/design verification/physical design
- Knowledge of arithmetic units, bus architectures, accelerators or memory hierarchies; computer architecture; linear algebra; or ML/DL background
- Knowledge of high performance and low power design techniques
- Currently attending a degree program in India and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time
