Job Responsibility For Assistant Accountant Role
- Financial Data Entry: Recording and maintaining financial transactions by accurately entering data into accounting software or spreadsheets. This may include invoices, payments, expenses, and receipts.
- Accounts Receivable and Payable: Assisting with the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This involves processing customer invoices, tracking payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and reconciling vendor invoices with purchase orders.
- Bank Reconciliation: Performing bank reconciliations by comparing bank statements with the company’s financial records. Identifying discrepancies and investigating and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assisting in the maintenance of the general ledger by accurately posting journal entries, ensuring proper coding of expenses and revenues, and verifying the accuracy of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Generating and analyzing financial data to support management decision-making.

- Accounting Knowledge: Proficiency in basic accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping practices. Understanding debits and credits, accruals, and general ledger entries.
